The UNIX/Linux Resource Monitor monitors hardware and software resources following a user-defined resource monitor policy for which it sends alert event reports to Operations Sentinel alert services. You can install and run the UNIX/Linux Resource Monitor supplied with Operations Sentinel on managed UNIX or Linux systems. The UNIX/Linux Resource Monitor raises alerts when certain conditions are met for a resource. The resources and the conditions are defined in a resource monitor policy.
