Processing

Message (ME) event reports cause messages to be logged by Operations Sentinel Logging and the related automation to be executed. ME event reports provide the means of supplying Windows or Linux console messages to Operations Sentinel. ME event reports might be submitted to the Operations Sentinel Event Server through any supported path such as API clients, spo_pipe, and spo_event. API clients cannot register to receive ME event reports. In other words, ME events flow only from client to server, not the other way. An ME event report is supported in both the managed and unmanaged versions of the Event Server API. The Operations Sentinel Event Server treats the ME event report as a console message from a Windows or Linux system, routing the message to automation and logging services.
